Overview - Why do we have Strategic Pillars?
The WIEUG Interoperability Pillars
- Guide the overall prioritization of the region’s strategic plan.
- Ensure that sessions and topics are appropriate and applicable to the defined pillars.
- Determine programs and deliverables that improve the region’s standing within each pillar.
- Ensure that the benefits of the RUG cross the spectrum of opportunities available.
Approach
- Leadership Teams and Sub-Committees were asked to contribute the topics and projects that they would like to see the WI Epic Users Group prioritize in 2025 and 2026.
- Themes arose from these discussions that were brought to the leadership team for consideration.
- The result of these discussions was the formation of the pillars – which enable us to categorize and prioritize all current and future sessions and programs.
What are the goals of the Pillars?
- Continue to optimize the exchange of data between trading partners to improve connections and care of shared patients.
- Improve the depth of exchanges by exploring programs that impact the region’s Level of Interoperability (as defined by HIMSS).
